Tanya Wright

Tanya Wright is an HCPC Registered Dietitian specialising in the diagnosis and management of food allergy and other food hypersensitivity reactions in babies, children and adults with gastrointestinal, dermatological and respiratory symptoms.

Tanya works in several NHS Hospitals where she has set up and manages the Dietetic Allergy Service for adults and children. Her roles include co-ordinating dietetic allergy services, taking a detailed allergy focused clinical history, performing skin-prick testing, advising on specific IgE blood tests including component resolved diagnostic testing, advising and supervising diagnostic diets, and organising and delivering food challenge services.

Tanya works with babies, children and adults and is available both privately and via the NHS at Healthy Balance Mediclinic.

 

Tanya is on the Scientific and Medical board of the Anaphylaxis Campaign and the Health Advisory board of Allergy UK. Tanya is a longstanding member of the British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and the Food Allergy Specialist Group of the British Dietetic Association where she contributes to the production of position papers and is the resources officer providing national updates on special diet products, recipes and resources that aid the diagnosis and management of food allergy and non-allergic food hypersensitivity.

Tanya regularly lectures at national and international conferences, and the Allergy Masters degree Course at Imperial College, London, and at Surrey University. She writes articles and contributes to research papers on the diagnosis and management of food allergy and is a regular consultant to the food industry,

Tanya is currently on the British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology Standards of Care Guideline group for managing eczema in children.
